Annual - These delectable new sunflowers have rich chocolate-burgundy ray petals that surround dark chocolate center discs. With their beautifully shaped, velvety petals and mouthwatering rich colors, Chocolate Cherry sunflowers are a joy to behold. These special sunflowers are stunning for indoor bouquets and they are standouts in the garden. Chocolate Cherry's beautiful flowers are also pollenless, so they have a longer, cleaner vase life.

Soil & Water:Make several sowings 3 weeks apart to have a succession of bloom. Keep soil moist and well-weeded and protect seedlings from hungry birds with netting or plastic berry baskets, removing before plants get crowded. No extra amendment is needed unless soil is poor and could benefit from a pelleted, slow release balanced fertilizer.

Planting & Growing:To Plant Outdoors: Plant in full sun in good garden soil when weather is warm and settled both day and night and all danger of frost has passed. Poke seeds into well-worked soil 1/2" deep and 4 - 5" apart. Press soil firmly over seeds and keep moist until germination in 8 - 10 days. Thin to 12" apart so plants have ample room to grow. To Start Indoors: Several weeks before the last frost date, sow seeds 1/2" deep in individual pots of well-drained seed starting mix. Keep moist and provide a strong light source until ready to plant outside when seedlings are large enough to handle. When weather has warmed into the 50°F range, transplant 12" apart in full sun, disturbing the roots as little as possible.

This is an excellent product that absorbs quickly and leaves no chalky white or thick oily residue. UVA and UVB protection at spf 50. Two out of four of the active ingredients are double the amount in other brands and it has more of the two remaining ingredients so I guess it’s not my imagination that it’s more effective than other brands I’ve used. No detectable odors. Has an ingredient to help sand from sticking but I haven’t been on sand so can’t comment on that. It left white marks on the edge of the neck of my black crew neck T-shirt when I didn’t rub the sunscreen in and let it dry. However the marks came out in the wash. It stays where you put it, but keep it away from the eyes. Expensive probably because there are more of the active ingredients. I use it only on my face and neck but it is the best sunscreen I have tried.

Great product, works well. My only complaint is I believe it might have stained my white, UV blocking running top. After the first use there was yellowing all long the neckline and sleeves where I either accidentally got it on the shirt or sweating transferred it on. I’ve never had this problem before and can’t 100% be sure the lotion itself is to blame but it is the only thing that changed from other times I ran in that top. I haven’t noticed this problem with other tops so I’m not sure if it was the material itself or the color that reacted. Still going to give it 5 stars because I like the product.
